Designing Your Employee Survey

Regardless of which package level is right for your company, each AlphaMeasure employee survey shares basic customizable components.

Each AlphaMeasure employee survey core competency encompasses a set of five questions designed to investigate a specific subject area within your organization. When designing your survey, the AlphaMeasure system allows you to select the core competencies most pertinent to your company.

There are 16 selectable employee survey core competencies available in the AlphaMeasure system. Each of the three package levels allows you to include a different number of core competencies in your employee survey.

Every AlphaMeasure employee survey allows you to add custom questions, which play an especially useful role in exploring current events and hot topics specific to your organization.

Each survey package level allows for a different number of custom questions to be included in your survey. AlphaMeasure supports the following custom question types: Likert Scale (a scale of Strongly Agree to Strongly Disagree), True/False, Yes/No, 1 to 10 Scale, Open Essay.

At the foundation of every AlphaMeasure survey is a base set of 14 standardized employee survey questions. These questions are included to ensure each survey launched is well rounded and provides an all-encompassing view into your organization. The 14 base survey questions are designed to be general in nature, while the core competencies you select and custom questions you add allow for deeper investigation into the topics of most interest at your organization.

Each package level allows you to include a set of demographic questions with your survey. Both the Advanced and Premium-level packages allow you to view cross-tabulated reports by demographics, while the Basic-level package simply allows for aggregated viewing of this data.

The demographic questions are also used to investigate whether your survey's respondents match a healthy cross-section within your organization. Collecting responses from a well-balanced population of your organization results in a higher level of accuracy and confidence in your employee survey findings.

Open-Text Employee Comments

If desired, AlphaMeasure provides the ability to add an overall employee satisfaction open text/essay question to the end of your survey. AlphaMeasure developed this feature as an optional setting because, depending on the size of your organization, processing and responding to this raw open text information can be a time-consuming task.
